OneUp Components Launches XC Clip Pedal
OneUp Components has entered the XC race category with its new XC Clip Pedals, launching March 4, 2026. Touted as the thinnest dual-sided MTB clip pedals on the market at just 26.8mm, the design is purpose-built for riders counting every gram and fighting for consistent power on technical terrain. The ultra-thin profile aims to reduce pedal strikes on rocky climbs while maintaining stability under load.
At the heart of the pedal is OneUp’s custom SPD-compatible binding system, offering a wider range of retention adjustment and a tighter cleat interface than traditional off-the-shelf designs. Riders get 5° of float with a predictable 12° release, plus included cleat spacers to fine-tune setup.
Built around igus™ bushings, dual cartridge bearings, and a chromoly axle, the XC Clips share internals with OneUp’s existing platforms for easy serviceability. These look like a compelling option not just for XC, but for gravel riders chasing efficiency and low stack height. We’ll be putting a pair to the test and will report back.
