How to Wash Your Gravel Bike: Feedback Sports Brush Bar
A good wash is the cheapest maintenance a gravel bike will ever get, and it's faster, easier, and more thorough with the bike clamped in a repair stand at working height. Our favorite is the Feedback Sports Pro Mechanic Bike Repair Stand: it's lightweight and functional, and it folds away when you're done. The hard part is keeping everything else in reach while you clean: the hose, the brushes, the bottle of cleaner, and the towel. Feedback Sports built the new Brush Bar for exactly this, and it's brilliant. It clamps to the stand and turns it into a wash station with everything within arm's length.
The Brush Bar is an eleven-piece kit that fits every Feedback Sports repair stand as well as the A-Frame Event Stand center post. Adapters cover 38, 50, and 70 mm tubes, and the caddy can sit at any height on the stand. It has three fixed hooks and four storage slots: one for the hose and nozzle, one for a spray bottle, one for a 15mm thru-axle, and one for small tools. Two accessory hooks can go in any of six positions. They hold wheels with tires up to three inches wide, plus handlebars and towels, and each is rated to ten pounds. The whole caddy carries twenty-five. The kit includes a Thru Axle Chain Keeper, three brushes, a microfiber towel, and a mesh bag that keeps everything together between washes.
The kit is set up for a sensible wash order. Rinse the bike, then pull the rear wheel and clip in the Chain Keeper so the chain stays tensioned while you degrease the drivetrain. The stiff broad brush handles the frame and wheels. The softer cone brush reaches tight spots around the fork crown and seat stays.
