Gravelstoke is bringing gravel to SDMBA's Mount Laguna Trail Fest, October 16 to 18, with 2 guided rides from El Prado Group Campground. Join us Friday for a 15 mile shakeout and Saturday for a 45 mile route featuring the Kitchen Creek climb, with registration for the full MLTF weekend required.
The 2026 Great Western Reroute builds on its rugged heritage with the most epic edition yet, featuring more remote terrain, more challenging climbs, and more unforgettable descents – all while maintaining the grassroots spirit that's defined this event since 2018.
Back for 2019 we’re creating another gravel event like none other. The 2nd annual Hunt of the North is planned for June 9, 2019.
Perhaps our favorite event of the year, the Great Western Reroute is an extended mixed surface riff on the Great Western Loop. The GWL is a storied route that got it's name years ago from a road race that had as its title sponsor Great Western Savings & Loan. This route has a lot of the same paved stretches as the GWL but departs widely via some sweet gravel and dirt.
We have chosen 5 locations on dirt throughout North County. Your goal, gather all 5 pieces of unique gravel, 1 at each location. No specific course is provided. The 5 locations will be revealed 24 hours in advance of the event.
