Stagecoach 400 Documentary - All 5 Episodes
The Stagecoach 400 is a 400-mile bikepacking route across San Diego’s mountain forests, desert basins, urban environments, and the Pacific Ocean coastline. Created by Brendan Collier, it's grown into one of the most respected underground events in the bikepacking world — self-supported, minimally structured, and open to anyone willing to show up. No podiums. No after-party. No shortcuts. This year marks the 15th annual Grand Depart.
Sandstone Pictures documented the route across a five-episode series, following riders from the Grand Depart through San Diego, deep into the desert, and toward a finish that nobody officially calls a race but everybody rides like one. The series tracks what the route actually does to people including pacing mistakes, sleep deprivation, miles of walking through the desert, and the moments of trail magic and community that show up when riders need them most. All five episodes are available now.
