Specialized Recon 2.0 Gravel Shoe
The Recon 3.0 was our favorite gravel shoe of 2020 with its wide toe-box design, comfort, durability, and good looks. But the Recon 2.0 shouldn’t be dismissed as it’s probably the best gravel shoe under $200, while borrowing everything that’s great from the 3.0. Unless you care deeply about your equipment's “stiffness index”, or see the need for more than one BOA dial to secure your foot, the 2.0 is probably the shoe for you.
Although many of the Recon gravel shoes in most sizes have been out of stock for some time, Specialized just released the new Cast Blue/Cast Battleship colorway for the 2.0 and it looks pretty good.
