2022 Specialized CruX Gravel Bike

You may recall the CruX as being the primary cyclocross offering from Specialized. Since 2011 the CruX represented racing performance in the off-season, racking up cross wins across the world. With disc brakes first being introduced on the product in 2018, the CruX became the gravel bike choice for many with its reasonable tire clearance, lightweight frame, and tight handling. Today Specialized introduces the next evolution of the CruX with the 2022 lineup of bikes that the company has more intentionally designed for the race-focused gravel market.

S-Works CruX will set you back $12000, but you will be riding the lightest gravel bike on the planet.

Specialized claims that the all-new CruX is the lightest gravel bike in the world, weighing in at just 725g for the S-Works 12r frameset. The 10r frame weights 825g. The 2022 CruX is basically the Specialized Aethos with additional tire clearance, up to 650b x 2.1”.

Several models of the new CruX are available, but we love how this $8000 CruX Pro looks with this “Gloss Coral Lilac Fade/Carbon/Limestone/Papaya/Grey/Black” colorway. The Pro model comes spec'd with the SRAM Force 1 eTap AXS hydraulic disc groupset, Roval Terra CL Disc wheels, and 2Bliss Ready 700x38mm Pathfinder Pro tires.
