Shakeout by the Shore is back for year two as your unofficial warmup before BWR California on Sunday, May 3rd. Rolling out Thursday, April 30, 2026 from Glen Park in Cardiff by the Sea.
We started the Shakeout tradition back in 2021 in San Elijo Hills when BWR was based in San Marcos. When the race moved to Del Mar last year, we followed it to the coast. Same concept, new terrain.
This is your chance to spin out the travel legs, get familiar with the area, and connect with the community before race weekend. We'll trace the shoreline, hit some hidden dirt, and keep it casual before Sunday's suffer fest. Post ride, we reconvene at The Lost Abbey Confessional for brews and pre-race banter.
Expect good vibes, cold beer, and a relaxed pace. It's a shakeout ride, not a throw down. Show up, loosen up, and dial in before the real chaos begins.
