SPNDX Stampede Returns August 5th!

The Event

Every summer cyclists gather in Big Bear Lake, California for an epic weekend of riding in the village and mountain roads of the surrounding San Bernardino National Forest. This year something special is happening, and you won't want to miss it! For the first time, the powers that be have called upon our friend Jon Hornbeck to bring his all-road magic to the Tour de Big Bear weekend. On Sunday August 5th the Gravel Stampede will bring a proper finale to the weekend festivities.

Ryan Steers and Jason Judy will be there to lead out the Stampede with a fresh coat of Topical Edge

THE RIDE

Riders can expect a fantastic route comprising of mostly dirt on the 44 mile course. Expect lots of climbing, dirt roads and single-track at this Summer's 4th Volume of the SPNDX Stampede.

The route is sure to impress with plenty of dirt and mountains in the Big Bear region

the bikes

This is a true gravel ride, so you'll want to bring a capable drop bar bike. For a few suggestions feel free to browse our gallery of 2018 Gravel Bikes. Road bikes are not recommended, MTBs will work.

The 3T Exploro is a solid choice for these events, bring tires 35mm + for maximum fun

We hope to see you there!

The event will be fully supported with three aid stations and plenty of nutrition. Tickets are limited, and we expect a sell-out, so be sure to buy your entry soon. With a field of just 200 riders there will be a fantastic vibe and a great time had by all. Roll out starts at 8AM, with packet pick up starting at 6:30am. Post ride beers for all!

We hope to see many of our friends there, including IRC Tire and the Coureur Cycling Team

See you all soon!
