Wolf Tooth Joins the Clean Cockpit Game with Premium Integrated Headset

The new Wolf Tooth Premium Integrated EC44 Headset was developed for frames using the ENVE IN-Route System of cable integration with a 44mm head tube. It was made for cyclists who want a clean, aero cockpit that keeps cables and brake lines out of sight. This integrated headset contributes to aerodynamics by hiding cables from airflow and is extremely lightweight at only 113g. It is fitting, then, that Wolf Tooth headsets are machined with aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum at Wolf Tooth in Minnesota, USA.

The new Premium Integrated Headset features an ultra-low stack height (15.65mm) top cap for a smooth transition from cockpit to headset to frame. This is among the shortest stack heights of any integrated EC headset on the market. Like all Wolf Tooth headsets, this new option features Wolf Tooth’s best-in-class triple-sealed system to protect bearings from the elements. It also includes Enduro stainless steel bearings that use the largest possible ball size and are filled with high-pressure waterproof lubricant.

Machined aluminum 5mm split spacers in color-matched anodizing will be also available to dial in fit.

You may have also noticed this stunning steel Scarab that happens to also be something new from the Colombian bicycle brand. Announced alongside the new headset from Wolf Tooth, the Paramo Integrated is Scarab’s first fully integrated gravel bike that leverages the ENVE Gravel IN-Route stem and fork. Made in El Retiro, Colombia, the Paramo is built for tough conditions while managing to look like a piece of art. The Paramo Integrated has tire clearance for 700x48, comes with UDH dropouts, and features a T47 bottom bracket. The new Scarab steel gravel bike starts at $3600 for the frameset.

On the Paramo Integrated, the WT EC44 and seatpost clamp were custom anodized by Ashley B. @ashley.anodized.it, but Wolf Tooth tells us that these new headsets will be available in all of their standard anodized colors including Black, Blue, Espresso, Gold, Green, Olive, Orange, Purple, Red, and Silver. Like all Wolf Tooth components and accessories, the new Premium Integrated Headset is covered by their Right-to-Repair program that offers replacement parts and installation guides, while also carrying a lifetime warranty. We don’t yet have pricing and availability details on these headsets, but this post will be updated once we do! Wondering about that pie plate? It’s also from Wolf Tooth but not yet in production and details are slim. If you want to see this bike up close you can find it at The Philly Bike Expo and Sea Otter Classic this spring.

We’ve admired Scarab and their
custom steel bikes for years. When we learned that Scarab was building a
Paramo Integrated with this cockpit for Philly Bike Expo, we knew that
this was the perfect opportunity to show off a prototype of our new
integrated headset.
