Best Tubeless Sealant 2024 - Survey Results

One of the most important and most consumed products for gravel cyclists is definitely tubeless sealant. Tires are swapped out frequently in this cycling discipline depending on the season, an individual’s terrain preferences, and race schedule. Some gravel riders have multiple wheelsets, each requiring careful maintenance of sealant levels, and frequent refills to ensure optimal puncture protection. Over on our Instagram page we asked our followers what their favorite tubeless sealant is and the answers came in quick and steady. After roughly 24 hours we counted the comments and analyzed the results. The answer was clear, with Orange Seal coming out on top with almost 50% of the total votes. Here are the full results from our survey, with the graph showing each brand of tubeless sealant mentioned and the percentage of votes cast for each.

Perhaps it was no surprise that Orange Seal Tubeless Sealant came out on top. Orange Seal has been a company fully dedicated to developing long lasting, fast sealing formulas for tubeless tires since 2011 and it’s a popular brand for many shops and pro athletes. Orange Seal also has a strong presence in gravel through partnerships and team sponsorships, along with widespread distribution in the market. Orange Seal comes in 3 formulas including Regular, Endurance, and Subzero. It’s also super easy to add when installing new tires, with their 4oz w/ Injector bottle. If you’re looking to get started with Orange Seal, our recommendation would be to get either the 16oz or 32oz refill bottle and 4oz w/ Injector for the best experience. You can find them here.

That being said, there are so many tubeless sealant products available today, and most people have probably tried only 2 or 3. I’ve only tried a handful of sealants myself including Stans, Finish Line, Squirt, and Orange Seal. I’ve had the best experience with Orange Seal Endurance and Squirt Seal. After conducting the survey, I think many were impressed by the results of the Silca Ultimate product, which had a lot of very strong user recommendations. Despite only being around for a couple of years, I’ll certainly be giving Silca Ultimate a try to see if I can replicate these positive experiences. The 16oz Base Sealant with Carbon It’s currently available here for just $14.

And perhaps the most important part… we promised that a comment on the IG post would count as an entry to win a free sample of the tubeless sealant that receives the most votes. And the winner of an Orange Seal free sample is @joeyyorba from Utah! Joey, send us an email or DM to claim your prize.
