ENVE X Evil Gravel Camp 2020

After some unwelcome weather at the 2019 Gravel Camp in Calabasas, California, the crew decided to go with a location that guaranteed warm winter miles and copious amounts of buff singletrack; that spot was Scottsdale, Arizona.

In its third year, the 2020 BluBird Gravel Camp explored terrain in and around the McDowell Preserve that’s chock-full of spectacular singletrack tailor-made for gravel bikes. With Evil as a partner for bikes, journalists and race promoters had their chance to put the new Chamois Hagar gravel bike to the test. Complete with G23 wheels, Gravel Handlebars, and M6 Stems, the top-level build was enjoyed by all.

In addition to great riding, guests sat down with Yuri Hauswald to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities facing some of the biggest gravel events of our time. The round table included promoters of Crusher in the Tushar, Dirty Kanza, Rebecca’s Private Idaho, The Mid South and SBT GRVL. Also joining the discussion was Peter Stetina, who explained his plans for how to “ruin gravel”.
